South Africa continues to experience the consequences of an unemployment crisis. The majority of working-age South Africans remain confined to the sidelines of economic participation. As a result the pursuit of economic freedom is a pipedream for most. While there is consensus that not all graduates enjoy equitable access to the labour market, and that interventions aimed at addressing the crisis should be premised on ideals of transformational redress, persons with disabilities remain relegated to a footnote of the dominant discourse.
The Nelson Mandela Foundation, in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation and the National Youth Development Agency, would like to invite you to participate in a critical dialogue featuring a keynote address by the Chairperson of the National Youth Development Agency, Ms Asanda Luwaca.
Panellists will be Dr Armand Bam, Advocate Bokankatla Joseph Malatji, Collins Ombajo, Losh Pather and Lidia Pretorius
